the name of the old account is silverwingedprince. I have tried everything to access it and I think it got hacked into but I can't prove it.

Write Yahoo! Support and e-mail explaining the situation and ask them to close it.

when u don't have the password of an account it means it is not yours
even we know it is yours but forget the password of it
and only the owner of the account can delete it

maybe u can contact silverwingedprince support and when they became sure that u r the owner will do it for u

You should send an e-mail and explain what happened and ask the company how to cancel your account. You should also try using the "forgot my password" feature.

For any accounts, im pretty sure u shouldve given ur email address or sumthin.... if u forgot ur password, u can always provide your email add to the site and be given ur password... hope this helps!

You can't close your account unless you enter it..
have you tried the "forgot my passord" to try retreving you password? if yes and you couldnt remeber any of your personal information the, i guessm you hav to forgot this account..
