They're is a contraction for they are. When deciding if that is right, expand it and put it in a sentence:
"They had to move all of they are luggage to the van."
Obviously that doesn't make sense, so the correct answer is "their".
Same with "it's". "It's" is a contraction for "it is". Pronouns do not form possessives like nouns do (with an apostrophe); they have their own forms. Put it in a sentence: "The dog was wagging it is tail." Nope; has to be its.

If something belongs to them, it is their item. Yes, they're in command of the object. However, when it has an object, it is its object.
It's the difference between the possessive pronouns (which don't have apostrophes) and the pronoun contractions (which do).

I'm not helping on the second one but for your first question the answer is Their. They're is a compund form of they are, and the other on, spelled "there", is for saying where someone is.
