I wouldn't have been able to get away with half the stuff I did if Oprah was my mom (sorry mom, no offense).
You wouldn't want Oprah for your mom anyways. First of all, if she was as successful a mom as she is a tv personality, she wouldn't have the time to build the empire she has now. So, if she was your mom, you'd be po. However, if she was a successful career woman AND your mom, you'd be raised by nannies and wish someone else was your mom.
It ain't all what it seems....

It's normal to wish your mom had the money that Oprah had so maybe she'd be a little less stressed about your financial future.

before each little thing, what you experience is totally standard -- and part of being a verify. do not overlook that those are extremely the desirable years of your own (and their) existence -- even as they're invaluable and stressful -- yet have not hit those HORRIBLY Hormonal-Raging, stressful Bugger a lengthy time period. i am going to genuinely talk from journey -- i became a lengthy-time period unmarried verify to 2 disabled little ones -- and up until eventually they began hitting the HORMONAL rush years (and the courting -- wow -- the "attitudes" then ....) ... besides the actual incontrovertible reality that there have been annoying situations, i might want to continually stumble on a fashion to address the irritating situations and practise guide them alongside in existence. It became the teenage years that extremely the position issues hit the fan (with the objective to talk) from a parental point of view -- they have already considered (and heard) from their verify a thanks to stay existence with recognize, dignity, honesty and honor ... yet now .. they comprehend that they are going to quickly to be adults, and are stretching previous the verify to someplace - everywhere -- purely that the moms and dads are embarrassing (at desirable) ... and they alter into conscious of the moms and dads as enemies (at worst). They get disrespectful, push each button you've, and then pass for further ... they make judgements that are hostile to the domicile guidelines (and teach a lack of situation for his or her own safe practices), they take opportunities, they both are completely to blame, or imagine that they are indestructible (which they don't look to be). it really is the time that they try (to the moms and dads horror!) or the time that they recognize the sacrifices we've made and be the persons we may favor them to be (no longer too consumer-friendly). childrens are VERY annoying -- extra so than the different age. Then they hit 18, and push even extra -- it really is the time for us moms and dads to assert -- ok Birdie -- time to FLY from the nest -- you do not favor to well known my domicile and my sacrifices, that is time for you to take your position as a to blame individual. They make their personal alternatives, and we, as moms and dads, now ought to do our personal demanding LOVE -- and stand back and enable them MAKE those mistakes -- and take the outcomes that praise the mistakes.

Do you think it's normal? Sounds like you really like her show and watching her. Are you inquisitive like her and use her as a role model? Her hair and makeup are always pretty and clothes are the best. That wouldn't be much different thant June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver. She has power of the media. Maybe that is what you like. Who would you like as your dad?
