The answer depends on two variables:

1) How much energy your computer is using
2) How much you pay for energy

For example if your computer uses 100 watts and you pay 8 cents a kwh

Then

100 watts * 24 hours * 30 days / 1000 * .08 cents a kwh = $5.76 a month

There is a cool gadget called Kill-A-Watt that will measure how much energy various applicances use, you can find it on Amazon here:

not really they usually go into sleep mode. There are energy reducing settings on your computer you could use.
