Hi:
the ratio 36/6 is equal to 6 is a valid ratio be cause your dividing 36 by 6
The ratio 6/0 is not a valid ratio is because your dividing 6 by 0 ( remember that division is repeated subtraction and your subtracting by 0 which never go down from 6 no matter how many number you use in this case. where as if divided it by 000000000001 or any infinitely small value you want to use. Your subtracting it by .000000000001 or any infinitely small value you want to use ,short of zero. you will reach a value but zero never will do it , Try it for yourself , if you don't believe me ) So dividing by zero is a undefined operation or infinite ( for the number of solutions it can be found.)
However 6/0!= 6 because 0!=1 ( the Symbol ! means Factorial)
This is subject for a another time
I hope this explain it

Everybody knows that 6/0 is undefined. But let us think from this radical way. When we say 36/6 we mean something like, a rope of length 36 cm is divided into 6 parts. Then what will each resultant piece measure. Answer, 6cm. Now on similar lines, if we have a rope of 6 cm length and if we divide it into 0 parts then the resultant part will be of 6 cm of course.
Does that light anything. So in fact 36/6 and 6/0 can be said as equal but if we are in a world of frivolousness. :)

I'm guessing you made a typo, right? Well, yes, 6/1 is the same ratio as 36/6. 6/0 however is undefined.

36/6 = 6/1 so:
6/1 and 6/0
Because any number divided by 0 is infinite. Infinite is not a single finite number therefore, the value amoung the infinite can never be 6. So to speak 6/1 can never equal 6/0
Simple math, what are ya from grade 10 or what?

It's 6:1.
A ratio is a comparison of two numbers by division. 36/6 = 6. Equal ratios will also divide to a quotient of 6.

No. A ratio is a comparison of two quantities. 36/6 is valid, but 6/0 is not because to solve this equation you would have to divide 6 by zero which is against the laws of math. The correct answer is 6/1. 6x1=6.... 6x6=36

36/6 is the same as 6/1, not 6/0. The latter is undefined.

It is 6/1, but if you want to impress your friends tell them that 0/0 is infinite. Really it is. They'll call you crazy but you can look it up.
(This is if your in a high enough grade to know that anything divided by 0 is undefined.)

6/0 is only undefined in entry level math later on it becomes infinity which is a lot more useful.
