I don't think so, I trust my husband and he trust me but why put yourself in the situation where something can happen.

We all know that when your out drinking sometimes you can get carried away, don't let the stress of parting separately ruin your relationship

I understand what you are asking. Me personally I feel she should not but I also would understand I can't go out with other women with out her while I'm married. My reasoning is very plain and simple........all of the men your wife hangs out with fall into 1 of these 4 categories ( all guys know this is true ) they are....

1. He wants to f%$# your wife.

2. He is going to f%#@ your wife.

3. He already has f%$#ed your wife.

4. He is gay.

(notice "friend" isn't there )That's it and that's the truth. That's how we are. So no I don't think it is ok for your wife to go drinking with men without you around.

I don't think it should be a problem because thats your wife and she wouldn't be if you didn't trust her. So unless you know somethin i don't then why not?? Women and men are able to have friends of the opposite sex w/out it being anything more

If it's a respectable marriage, I would say no. I'm married, and I wouldn't let my wife go out drinking with any male friends. Either mine or hers. Same as me not going out drinking with women without her. Just and understanding.

I have plenty of male friends, and my husband has female friends. There is nothing wrong with hanging out with your friends if you are in a loving trusting relationship. My husband sometimes hangs out with a few female friends that I know, doens't bother me because they are his FRIENDS and he is allowed to have friends and spend time with them when I am not allowed. Ditto goes for me. I am an engineer and I have a LOT of male friends (who else to a meet?) and there is nothing wrong with me hanging with them - I play on sports leagues in co-ed teams and my husband isn't there. We're allowed to have friends, marriage isn't a prison.

We're 32, Episcopal, and live in the US... very happy together as well.

I do not think that they should. I am 35 female and my religious affiliation has nothing to do with my answer.

no if she has respect she would not do that unless the guy is gay that would be a different story but if there is nothing going on she allow you to tag along. If you were to go and see that there is nothing going on then you have the last call and tell her what you think and if she loves you then she wont have a promblem with doing what she is suppose to do

Age 46, male, organized religion is bogus. Why not? Is it illegal to go out drinking with guy freinds? If you need to ask permission, methinks more is going on like you are interested in one of these guys. If so, whatever...it's your married life you'd be playing Russian Roulette with.

Hey, I have female friends. I don't go out drinking with them as that's not my thing but will ask them to go to concerts if it's music they are into and my wife isn't. She knows--big deal. I'm not interested in doing the horizontal aardvark with them.

I go out with my friends (more male than female) and my husband is fine with it. He TRUSTS me, and knows that nothing would happen. Ever. My friends all know that I am happily married, and if they ever tried anything, than they would no longer be a friend.

BTW, I'm 25, female, and Baptist.
