60 seconds in a minute
So 3600 seconds in an hour
So 24x3600= 86400 seconds in a day
1,000,000 / 86400 = 11.57
So it is 57 100ths through 12th January (about 1.30 pm)

well do the maths. There are 60 secs in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day and 356 1/25 days in a years.
so it's 60 x 60 x 24 so there are 84600 seconds in a day.
so 1000 000 / 84600 secs in a day = 11.8 so it would the 11 Jan :)))
So do i win a chocolate bar? or did i make a mistake? :)))

In Plain English please? Do you mean what day it would be if a million seconds had passed since the beginning of a new year? Then, it would be January 11, Tuesday in 2005, Wednesday in 2006, and going to be Thursday in 2007.

January 12th...
Take 1,000,000,
Divide by 60seconds, to get minutes
Divide that by 60 minutes, to get hours
Divide that by 24 hours, to get days (11.57)
So, the 1millionth second would occur on January 12th.....Are ya with me? Did I get it?
