If you can travel abroad, go to a spanish speaking country. If not, try to search for language schools near you.
In Guatemala, (Antigua Guatemala) you can find very good spanish schools. Most of them have private lessons, so you can learn faster. It is a small town, and beautiful too. And cheeper than going to Spain!!

The best way to learn a language is of course, by immersing yourself where the language is spoken... if you have the time and money, you might want to go overseas (if you're still in college, try a study abroad program for a semester or academic year!)and learn the language... But if you don't, I recommend you take Spanish classes from you university or local community college. Supplemental self-study using products such as Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone are very good...
You might also try watching spanish movies and listening to spanish music. You may not understand the meaning of what you're hearing but this will help you familiarize yourself with the intonation, pronounciation, and sentence structure of the language.
Good luck in your studies... and keep motivated, or else it won't happen! Good luck again!
