Habitual abusers were abused when they were young, or they observed abuse in the home when they were growing up, and therefore assume that it is acceptable behavior when they grow up.
This person needs to see a psychologists and undergo treatment so that they can understand how they can break the cycle. This will prevent them from teaching this behavior to their children.

Yes 9 out 10 abuse is a trait that carrys until that person gets help. Sometime they don't realize that they need help,but they do

Only if she tries to combat his control. Men like this feel they have no control so they try to control others. Things are fine untill you do something that says he is not in controlo of you then he starts punching.
I put a guy in the hospital for beating his gf, then I helped him through therepy. He's better now
