I have a appaloosa cross that is 15 years old and very stubborn. She was supposed to be broke, but she isnt! We had a guy with spures on her and she wouldnt budge! So we are just going to let her live her days out on the pasture, and just get her out to groom and exercise her, and to feed her. So I am currently looking for a 4-6 year old purebred horse that is broke and doesnt cost too much!

I suggest that you go to local stables and ask the people there if they have any horses for sell or know anyone with horses for sell. Also you can look in classifieds in your newspaper and look for a horse that you are looking for. If you find one you may like go to the persons house and watch the horse be ridden and even ride it your self so you know you are getting what you want. You can also go to horsetopia.com in which you can put in every detail for the horse you want. That way you just put what you want and how far you are willing to travel to get the horse. Hope you find what you are looking for!! you are soooo lucky!!!

Check the local SPCA and Humane Societies. The horses they rescue are usually wonderful horses, who were just in the wrong hands, earlier in life.
