My friend opened the website on her computer (she does not have the fonts I used installed on her computer) now she cant view the website correctly. What program should I use to save the font/type as an image or what should I do? HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!

The viewers computer must have the fonts installed on their computer in order to view the font on your site. The only way around this, without losing visitors, is to create images for those areas of the site you want to use these fonts in.

Paint Shop Pro/MSPaint/Photoshop/Corel Draw etc will all provide you with access to creating imaged print. You'll have a bit of work to change your site around to accommodate the images, but it will be worth it to allow all visitors the chance to see everything on your site.

Good luck.

PS After viewing Dwights answer I wholly agree with his suggestion, here's another tutorial site for embeds http://www.sean.co.uk/a/webdesign/embedding_fonts_in_webpages.shtm

You need to use TrueType fonts with embeds.

Points should go to Dwight in my opinion :) for what it's worth

You can't, you can only display on the web what the user can display on their own computer. If the computer doesn't understand the request it will just ignore it in most cases.

If you want to use an image, you should be able to do it in paint as worst case senario, paintshop if you have it / can afford it.

She doesn't need to have them installed on her computer, you just need to ftp the fonts to the server and they should work fine from there, just make sure that you link them apporpirately.

i have never done this myself. but from what i have read there are two different methods and you have to use both. there is one for internet explorer and one for netscape (mozilla).
