Gold fish will only eat other fish if they can fit it in there mouths or the other fish is dead they will pick away at it.

Yes. Fish eat each other all the time. If the one goldfish is much larger than the other, definitely, if not, then they can very likely kill the other. They don't normally do this since they are more mellow and often used for food. Bichur (sp?), now that's a violent fish that consumes goldfish readily.

Yes if the one getting eaten can fit in the eaters mouth. Also if the fish is dying or dead the other fish may try to eat it whether its smaller or not.
