Although there are so many different things to do to avoid feelin' depressed one of the best things to do is talk to someone. Whether its someone you know and trust or just someone in a chat room who will listen. If you can pinpoint the source and say its your significant other or a family member(other than a young child), be sure to talk to them. Don't hold back on how you're feeling. If they are doing something and don't realize it, then they may be able to change. Whatever you do, don't just bottle it up inside, this is how people get to the point of killing themselves, and we don' want that! Good Luck!

The first thing to do is, ignore shadow's advice because if there is a god [small g] he/she/it won't help you. Millions of innocents around the world have suffered and died without intervention, though they called on him/she/it. So my darling I really wish I could take your cares away, but it's all down to you with the help and understanding of your loved ones and friends, but you NEED to share your feelings or fears with them, otherwise no-one can help you. In replying to your question -: "Stress alone is a killer and I refuse to be stressed-out, but this has come with a very high price, nearest and dearest think I'm uncaring, but I'm still alive and caring nevertheless. If you need to chat IM me. I've survived for 73+ years, that should tell you something..

depressed and stressed are two completely different things

when i am depressed i exercise because exercise releases endorphines in your body these endorphines are a chemical that makes you feel happy-- chocolate does the same thing
or i just cry alot-- it helps release some tension-- every once in a while it great for your body to have a "good cry"

when i am stressed i write down everything i need to get done and it helps the whole 'remembering' thing-- then i take a nice long bubble bath and get everything done-- after i finish that stuff i treat myself

Sometimes, I allow myself a good cry just to get it out of my system. Then, I try to focus on all the blessings that I have taken for granted such as my health, the well-being of my family, my freedom, materialistic luxuries that I have at my disposal, etc. Then, I try to get out of the house. I sometimes go for a walk or to the gym to get pumped. Sometimes, I'll call a friend or family member to talk. If none of that works, pray until something happens. Prayer is no good without faith. I hope that your spirits will soon be lifted.

When I'm stressed or depressed I go for a long walk by myself and talk about things to myself... sometimes talking out loud about your problems really helps you to think about what you need to do to help. Just be sure nobodys around so you don't look crazy! lol good luck!

Wow... there's so much you could do... Personally, I would've just watched TV, read a book, and basically done anything to prevent myself from thinking about the thing I'm depressed about. But if those things won't help you in your opinion, I'd suggest you go to your room, cry, and/or fall asleep.

Get better soon...

Clinical depression and "the blues" are two different things. If it's just a phase or rut you're in, then it's possibly temporary. But if you're truly having more "down" days than "up" days, consider seeing a therapist and be open to medical treatment. Temporary treatment can mean saving your life. God bless.

I try to get together with some friends and maybe go out. This usually helps. Why are you depressed? And why are you so stressed out? Just take a deep breathe and let it out, maybe that will help.

Go for a run or a swim...
If you're not the athletic type, then go shopping.
Don't buy your happiness, but if you have been looking at something cute for a long time, now is the chance.
Think of it as a reward for you stresses.
If it get's worse, then go talk to your doctor.... And get many opinions!

Good luck!
