And why pray tell does it matter? Just accept the great gifts he presented to the world. Anyone who could leave that large a mark on the world had to have been a great man - even if had been a gay man.

Many scholars that are that interested in Da Vinci's life do believe that he was a homosexual.

magnificent, in case you've study in straight forward words that e book and do not care extremely for authentic accuracy. The noticeably formulaic plots make interpreting all his books unnecessary. 'digital fort' is the most stressful e book i have ever study, and that is conserving plenty, as i'm an avid reader of any type. yet the different 3 are incredibly good. yet passing over df, and the noticeably predictable plot, Dan Brown is a good author and knows a thanks to keep the reader's activity.

No--or if he was, it was never proven. Leonardo was accused of being a homosexual, but anyone can be accused of anything at any time. Lots of people don't get married but that doesn't make them homosexual.

Besides, you can't believe anything you read in The DaVinci Code. I haven't seen a "fact" yet that Brown has gotten right. His assertion that everything is based on fact is actually part of the story.

No one knows anything for sure about Da Vinci, especially personal things.
There are so many conflicting stories that it's sometimes difficult to believe that he wasn't just the figment of someones imagination (not so, but other than that, who knows for sure?)

The Da Vinci Code is FULL of errors and outright inaccuracies. It is FICTION, through and through.

well the only people who could answer this with certainty are all fertilizer, aren't they? even now any man who is artistic is suspected to be gay, whether that is fact or not, so back then it must have been worse.
all i know is that he was a genius who was way ahead of his time. i wouldn't be surprised if he did leave messages (biblical or not) in his paintings, and neither would it shock me if we never found those meanings in the next 100 years.
if he did have a feminine side, well, that is yet another boost to my belief that women are the more intelligent gender and they should rule this planet!

I don't think in da Vinci's time there was such a concept. You would have just been considered an aristocrat.

Well, no one can be positive on the matter, since he died hundred of years ago, but historians think the odds are good.
However, historians seem to label every major male artist, of any type, with homosexual tendencies.
The debate over Shakespeare rages on constantly.
