Depends on, is it from the same sender or are they from various senders that are using different email providers ?
If it is the same sender, it might be a problem on the sender side, i.e. that a server is delaying the process, might be down or bottlenecked. If it is mail from various senders on different providers, then it is possible that something is delaying the messages on your end or on the servers of your email provider. In this case, I would recommend to contact your email provider's support team and explain the problem and ask for assistance.

You may have too much stored mail in your inbox or bulk mail.
You may have to clean house and delete a lot of old mail.
That should speed it up, that is, IF that is what's causing it.
It usually is.

The government has intercepted them first to read them...or your office. And I'm not joking.
