Help! Best guy friend...taken...and 19 while i'm 15?

he's a cancer, i'm a pisces and he's taken but i really like him and he's a friend of the family i asked my mom and she said to give it up what should i do?

You're in different places in life now at 15 and 19, but when you're 25 and he's 29, things will be about the same. I believe you need to be careful right now--how do you think he views you? When I was 19, it wasn't that a physically mature female isn't attractive, but it's almost unfair to them to take advantage of their attraction. Everybody knows young women like older guys, but as a guy, when you're 19, others would think it's strange in our culture to peruse a 15 year old girl--friends or not. So, I say, wait to pursue, but don't let him all the way out of your mind. Perhaps get some experience elsewhere, and then see how you feel towards him. At least wait until you're "legal" so that if you're physical with him, it's not considered rape--which it is if you're 15 and he's 19, even if it's voluntary.

Ask yourself one thing: if anything meaningful was to happen, could it be now? And, ask yourself...do you feel he is attracted to you, and would he be interested as you get older. Hope this heps, but it is complicated.

If he's taken, you should probably back off. You and he have a great friendship. I was always told that "boyfriends come and go, but friends are forever". It turned out to be true.

You never know that the future will hold for the both of you.

I think you should back off. If he is with someone else I am sure that he will not want to start anything with you. And if he does then he can not be trusted because once a cheater always a cheater. I am sure in time you might have another chance but you will have to sit back and wait.

Wait for him to break up and be there to comfort him when he's low and then he'll realize that the girl of his dreams was you all along.
