Can you change the main character in Grand Theft Auto: San Anreas ?

Is there a cheat , like in the older version of the game to become other characters in the game ?

No u cant but in 2 plays mode u can change the 2nd player.
to get access to 2plareer mode stand in front of Big Smoke's house. Then move right till u reach some white rooms trapped inside a fence . jump the fence and there u go.
