My wife was the girl in these early commercials but after tracking down the companies I thought had the commercials, I hit a wall. Need help. We now have daughters that we would love to show this to.

Contact the toy company that made the dolls. I am positive they keep an archive of all of their commercials

Make sure you have the right company because the original "Adoption Dolls" were re-named "Cabbage Patch Kids" when the rights were sold to a major toy company. They used to have a museum for "Adoption Dolls", including the cabbage patch, somewhere in Georgia. These dolls were 100% fabric with the name Xavier Roberts signed on the rear end. The dolls with the plastic heads were "Cabbage Patch Kids"

This may be a reach, but try to get a hold of TV Land...the network. They have a lot of those retro commericals, maybe they have the Cabbage Patch ones your looking for.

I've not been able to find many. Most seem to be after 2000, but I did find several sites with a Cabbage Patch video circa 1982.
