Sounds ok with me, I would not take it to be a bad thing. It is a lot better than someone saying you are a lazy a$$.

It would depend what the context was, on many times I have been called "a ball of energy" but that was in getting a task done and finishing a project within my work. Actually a company that sent me a letter after finishing a project said, you were a breathe of fresh air, able to work with people in all phases of life, a ball of energy which showed others what it takes to do complicated projects, and finish them on time, you have been an asset to our company and this project. Other times I have heard parents speaking to another parent saying your child is a ball of energy isn't he and/or she, which in those cases it was a polite way in which to say your child is out of hand. So when someone says this you must look at how they said it and what was the circumstance in which it was said.

Well, I call my 2 year old a ball of energy and I don't always mean it as a compliment. Although, I am very jealous of his energy and I often wish I could have just a little bit of it.

Good . it is a compliment. Even if you have some doubts , rather be a bad ball of energy than be a nice slug.

I think it is a good thing to be energetic. It's a sign of health. I would take it as a compliment.

Well if the persoan said that with a kind of sarcastic tone in his/her voice - no - not a compliment. BUT - If said with sincerity - yes - by all means, a compliment!

Yep, i'd take is as a compliment.
Unless you broke down someone's house, and they called you an 'idiotic, stupid and screwed ball of energy'.

I guess it's cool, but i'm more closely an energy square or rhombus. Triangular sometimes, but only after life or death situations...like sex.
