Well basically after the hurricane "Katrina" Everything in new Orleans was basically destroyed. They had to have somewhere to play the games and somewhere to practice. And Oklahoma is one of the closes place to go. So they are known now as the Oklahoma hornets/new Orleans hornets. Most likely after they rebuild New Orleans and they go back it will be just new Orleans hornets. They will drop the Oklahoma.

Because after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the city of New Orleans, the sports teams needed to "borrow" places to play from any nearby city that would have them. Oklahoma City "adopted" the Hornets. I'm assuming things will go back to normal if the stadiums get fixed.

Your kidding me right?
The Hornets were displaced by Hurricane Katrina and Oklahoma City being the nice place that it was, wanted to help out so they offered the Hornets the chance to play there.

the hornets stadium was damaged severely by hurrican Katrina and OKC had the best bid to temporarily house the Hornets until they can go back to New Orleans and the team added Oklahoma City to the name until they go back to New Oorleans

i'm a Louisiana resident. do no longer enable the team interior the SuperDome fool everybody. New Orleans can no longer help one expert team, much less 2. The Hornets ought to easily make their homestead in OKC. that's plenty less difficult to have sellouts for 8 homestead soccer video games as against 40 homestead basketball video games. .
