This means you record off the air through an FM (88 - 108 MHZ) tuner. and you get an MP3 file that contains everything the tuner received,

This can be handy when convention material is broadcast and you are attending. Otherwise you can record music, programs and anything that is broadcast on the so called FM Band.

Yea, its cool to be able to record music of the radio and then Rename them on your mp3 player and you can make your song collection bigger. I have a Creative Zen and all of them come with Fm Tuners/Recording. You should go for it!
