I have been friends with an ex boyfriend for 16 years. He is a bit of a slut and that's why we broke up in the first place. Somehow we remained friends and hang out a lot together on the weekends. My current boyfriend is a bartender so I look for ways to entertian myself. Lately I've been bringing my sister to hang out with us and I never minded the little flirting that they did (it was always kind of a joke between all of us). It was agreed that my ex would never sleep with my siblings (to me, that's just wrong-like kissing cousins). Granted, I was dating my ex 8 years ago-I feel that siblings shouldn't sleep with their sibling's exes. All of my other friends don't seem to thin this is a big deal. I'm wondering the way I feel is wrong. It's put a huge rift in our friendship. There are other issues we're dealing with (he hates my new boyfriend). Someone help. I feel like I've lost a good friend-or have I?

You can't control people's behavior with an 8-yr-old promise that doesn't make sense. Don't bring your sister. Don't hang out with an ex that's an a**hole. Don't try to control who your ex or your sister dates. You actually introduced them. I think you still have feelings for the guy or this wouldn't bother you.

Depends on how old your sister is and how old the ex boyfriend is, but at this stage, 8 years is one hell of a long time, and without wishing to seem rude, I would be inclined to say "get over it! she can sleep with whoever she wants as long as it is legal. She will discover for herself that he is a creep, if he is one" If you hold such a low opinion of him, why are you still hanging out with him anyway.....

There is no such thing as "socially acceptable". It is just a fallacy. But to answer your question it depends on whether they love each other and are able to handle the responsibility if something happens. Anyhoo it is none of your business. Your sis should use her common sense.

it isn't. imagine of it this manner, think you had a boyfriend and he became sound asleep interior a similar mattress as his older sister. it is a habit you want to get out of, because it would want to look like incest.
