Nothing is the absence of "anything", to put it crudely (and none too specifically). So, physically, nothing can not exist or it would be "something", but as a theoretical construct, it can and does exist, else we could not discuss it. One of those problems Wittgenstein would categorize as a "language game". In order to answer it, we must define our terms...in defining our terms we are appealing to a functional idea, the "idea" of "nothing"...but even in using language to discuss the problem, we have to assume that the word "nothing" attaches to something, and therefore must exist the way anything exists, to wit in the application a living being makes of it. Whether is exists "out there" in the World is immaterial.

Nothing exist just because you are questioning it. In Math, nothing is called zero. It is the number of elements of an empty set. So real that we can operate with nothing. And nothing is a very important idea. Numbers are ideas.

Yes, it is a great place to be. Free of worry, fear, sadness, and all the other yucky stuff we feel.

Try it -- close your eyes. Let all the crazy thoughts rush in. Then tell your mind to stop. Just see a blank blackboard in your minds eye, or just see black. Or just hold your thoughts.

It will calm your nerves, change your thinking, and who knows what else.

Perhaps "nothing" is a form of self-hypnosis.

Go for it -- Mozart did! So did Bach.

Not in a context as we know it. Even the darkness beyond our known universe contains 'dark matter'. God mentions that the Hardened heart (soul) will be 'snuffed' out, that their souls will be destroyed. "Fear not man which can destroy your body, be fearful of me thy Lord thy God for I can destroy body and soul". In that context you can become 'nothing'/non-existent....
