I just spent 2 hours recording with camtasia and when i went to click stop it just blinks out - no 'save as' box, nothing! then when i go to record again it says i still have a camtasia recording in a temp directory, would you like to recover, i click yes, but nothing happens. So i'm wondering where it saves these temprary files so maybe i can go and copy it or something.

i dont know if this will work but it's worth a shot. click on the start menu, go to search, then all files and folders, then theres a tab with 'more advanced options' open that and select camtasia in the file types and it should search for the file. then delete it and create it again, or save it, but the file probably wont be all there.

1st did you set how much time of recording do you wish to do in Camtasia. Then again if you search for your file in Camtasia folder you just might find your file there. Temp file are located in windows as well or Camtasia has it's own temp file system too.
