I really like this store but, you can't seem to afford a whole wardrobe. The prices suck.

Their prices are high, as are most retail stores. Having worked in manufacturing, and knowing what it actually costs to make some of this stuff, it's amazing what the mark is. Those $80 jeans probably only cost around $5 to make - everything else is overhead and profit.

It depends! I don't personally think they're really expensive, but for the quality and what they actually are the prices are sky high. Their clothes aren't all that trendy and they're not very good quality.

I prefer to shop at stores that have better quality, but my jeans are upward of 150 and last forever. Literally, I have had this one pair of true religion jeans since I was 13 (I matured early). And lol since I couldn't afford designer stuff when I was 18 and in college I went on ebay and bought nice clothes.

Back on American Eagle, they are having a sale right now which I suggest you check out. http://www.ae.com/web/browse/category_clearance.jsp?navroot=clearance&rcid=clearance

The prices are slightly lower even if the stuff is a tad overpriced!

i totally agree!!

it's so frustrating too ... their clothes fall apart after one season, so I hate paying so much for them!! they used to be much more reasonably priced back in the late 90's (before they were so popular, i guess) and i didn't mind it so much then.

but the last straw was when i bought a pair of their jeans, very nice (no pre-fading, rips, etc, just regular jeans) and the butt ripped on them (while i was wearing them) after about 5 washes!!

i shop at GAP now, they're just as expensive, but i have had a pair of jeans from there since middle school (96!!) and i still wear them all the time. i don't mind paying a lot for QUALITY ...

Not really. I bought a ton of cute shirts there for $3. The sale rack is the best. But everything is else is fair price too.

Those prices are totally ridicuolus, and Abercrombie's another example. i would NOT buy a plain too-tight shirt for fity bucks when I can go do that at Wal- Mart! Not that I would do that either, but common sense peeps!

There are many stores with similar styles that cost less. Don't spend too much money at AE just because other people are stupid enough to. Dress nicely and affordably.
