i asked i social worker if there was a law against it they said there no law against hiting your kid to me there is no difference between hitting and beating both means laying your hands on someone to hurt them

If you're talking about real, injurious beatings, the kind that send people to the emergency room, it's NOT legal. It's called child abuse, and it's against the law.
If you're talking about a couple of swats on the butt to drive your point home to a child who is not getting it, that's different. The point is to teach a child, not to injure him. And it's perfectly okay to do that to your wife, too, if she consents. ;)

Illegal to beat wife,illegal to beat citizens. Okay to discipline your children, not beat. Some say spanking is beating. To me, more people should spank their children. Lack of, look at the disrespect children have these days for adults.

some ppl and kids need to be beat.look at most of the kids today,their mouthy and very disrespectful and want everything handed to them.and i blame the parents of these kids for not having a spine.most are scared the'll hurt lil johnys feelings.

well its not if they act right :parents know what kids think they dont know ,and they dont want them to mess up on life ,like myself im disabled and that has taken away my working ability to a certain exctend .and parents know that they are good jobs for them ,school kids ,and college gratuates .but if they mess there mind up ,you cannot get a new mind .so they try to point them in the right direction and when they rebel again st then its should be a little punishment .its easier said then done if the kids dont want direction !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
