For clothing and accessories, yes. For shoes, not so much. I have a crazy shoe habit, and you really cant clean the insides of shoes if you know what i mean LOL. The trick to thrift store shopping is to go to affluent areas. You find lots of name brand items in great condition. You can also find a better selection Oct-Dec (every one in a higher tax bracket trying to get as many deductions as they can, so they seem to donate more cuz donations are a write off.)

Not really so much for shoes...I like my shoes to be brand new when I buy them, but I love buying clothes from thrift stores, they have the best stuff!

Absolutly! With prices on EVERYTHING rising, and in certain circumstances; having children to take care of, I will shop at any thrift store that is open! There is nothing wrong with it. Remember the old saying...... "One man's trash is another man's treasure!" Don't be ashamed alot of people shop at stores like that.

Yes I do! I often shop at our local Goodwill stores. They have great tag sales, where I can buy certain colored tags for under $2. And when I'm finding jeans that are otherwise - $30-100 a piece, it's a deal!

And, I'm still dubbed as best dressed, and no one knows...

I also shop on Ebay!! Ebay is great for finding name brand clothes for super prices!

oh my gosh - all the time!

my mom and i go together (she dresses nicer than i do most of the time, very hip and trendy) and she pretty much got her whole wardrobe from thrift stores.

she got a wool pea coat for $3 once, a pair of snakeskin shoes for $2, and several express, bebe, and nine west button down shirts for less than $1 a piece!

i would highly recommend you go look ... go when you're not rushed, its worth it to really pore over each item in search for a good deal ...
