Replace the flint.
I hope you didn't use "gas".
Go to the site for repairs.

did u use gas or zippo fluid? did u fill it right? U have to pull the part with the wheel out of the case, turn it upside down and lift the piece of cotton that's there, then squeeze ZIPPO FLUID onto the cotton inside and put it back in the case. If that doesn't work, try replacing the flint.

Zippos also need to have flint put in them. You need to replace the flint and the fluid to have it working properly. Zippos are very good lighters so it should work well once put together correctly. Thank you for your question.

There are a few reasons for this, but the two I ran into the most are these:

1) The flint is worn and won't spark.

2) The wick is worn and won't pull fluid up to the flint.
Both of these can be replaced.

The flint probably needs replaceing. Where you pour in the gas there is a little screw, turn that and you will release where the new flint will live. Sometimes you can just get away with turning the worn flint upside down but eventually you will need a replacement.

You may need a new wick and or flint! Try these first! But if it still don't work you can go to zippo.com and get the info on sending it in they will give you new insides for it and fix the hinge if it is loose and you will also get the old insides back. This takes about 6 weeks.

What about the flint? Does the striker wheel turn? If not its the flint. If it does try keeping it upside down for a few second to let the wick soak in the fluid.

I think Zippos use fluid instead of gas.

the flint could not be sparking, but more likely the wick is burned down. Take out the cotton where the fluid is and advance the wick some in the hole.

"Gas" as in gasoline? That's a quick way to ruin it. Good thing they have a lifetime warranty.

If you used the right fuel, then, it's either the flint mechanism or the wick.
