yes, I have been sacked from a couple of places. Each time basically because the employer didn't like me. There was one time when someone told me how good I was at the job just before sacking me. Seems to me she had set out to make it look like I was in the wrong so she couldn't get into trouble(because she made sure no one saw what she did) just because she didn't like me. Maybe that was because she was worried about competition for her position! Then there was another time in the same sort of job where they told me I was doing something wrong, on about me not being able to use the tills properly or something. Well anyway, they had only just got these tills just as I had got used to the old ones. I did not know anything I had done wrong, particularly as someone who didn;t like me had already said I was good at the job and I didn't get any complaints from the customers. Well except one but that was about me giving the wrong change which I hadn't anyway, I even counted it in front of her before handing it over and then counted it twice again and she still didn't get that it was right. And then there were a few other jobs where it was kind of mutual. People will probably say it must be something I am doing wrong for stuff like that to keep happening but I was fine in one job where everyone else was nice and intelligent. I think I must have been working in the wrong places. It is difficult for someone with an IQ of more than 50 to get on in some of the places round here.

Sacked as lab manager in a high street opticians with four other people after I'd come back from a two week holiday, because £2000 had gone missing, and I was suspected. It was later found in the wrong safe deposit box and two of the staff that were sacked with me subsequently got compensation through an industrial tribunal. It was doubly annoying because I was starting university later that year and I had intended handing my notice in the following week.

I got fired from my first job (other than newspaper carrier), because I hated it: I was a housekeeper at a hotel, and pretty much always "on call" rather than scheduled. I was too stubborn to just quit, kept hoping it would get better, but by the end, I hated it so much that when the phone rang in the morning, I would run out the door yelling: "I'm not home!" So yeah, I wasn't available often enough and didn't make probation. Oh, I am so, so glad to be out of there, but I wish I would have just QUIT.

i got sacked one time (for those americans who haven't figured it out yet and don't watch monty python sacked=FIRED). i had an IT job and the people at the building used instant messenger so they didn't have to tie up a phone line or walk across the building. someone randomly IMed me and ended up asking me where i worked. i told them, walked away from my computer, and someone printed the conversation and i was fired for saying what company i worked for over the internet. It made me wonder if i would have gotten the death penalty for saying to someone in person.

Yep! Sacked from my first job because I got pregnant and was the "promising" protege to a social services director who might I add strongly advocated that I "get rid" of the baby because it was going to ruin my life. LOL
The last time I ran into her, I had three kids and was in the grocery store. I made it a point to walk up to her, smile brightly and introduced all three of my kids. LOL
