Because they realize that the woman that they come back to has no self-esteem and will settle for whatever they can get. Because any woman that allows this to happen to them, has deeper issues going on, and she is dependent upon the abuser. They feel that abuse is a sign of "Love" . Why do men leave and want to come back?: BECAUSE HE'S A SELF CENTERED CHAUVINISTIC PIG, one that doesn't care whom he hurt in he's quest to be happy!

Different reasons.
Some are fools and realize how much of a fool they are.
Some have valid reasons, in their mind. Maybe the girl is one with whom he wants to spend the rest of his life, but want to make sure there is nothing that would deter him before he makes the commitment.
Some have no sense whatsoever.
Depends on the guy.

Because they think things will be so much better with the new one, then they find out it was the same thing. Meeting new people is always new and exciting. Men are so egotistical.

wither becuase they realized how good they had it, or they couldnt find anyone else and figured the woman they left would take them back.
