I agree - what is the big deal - why can it just be left like it is.
I grew up reciting it every single day of school & now I vote at every election, I study who is running instead of voting by party only. I support my President no matter what party he is or how much I disagree with him. Saying "one nation under God" did not warp me or any of my friends including a Buddist & an athiest.
What happen to majority rule anyway.

The Pledge of allegiance was wrote in 1892. If you know anything you should know people hate change. Well most of them anyhow, especially these old farts who run our country. I personally have no problem with this. For we each have our own religious beliefs and it may not include the Christian God. The country was founded on freedom of religion, and is suppose to separate Church and state. So let's do it. This is just one more example where it should occur.

I don't think any. Up until the Red Scare of the 1950's the Pledge of Allegiance had no reference to God whatsoever.

It was added b/c communists were not religious and it was a way to "identify" any reds that may be in your community because they would not make a pledge involving GOd.
