Honestly, it looks better than the original ones, which sucked, but I still don't know about it. There are some really cool effects in the movie.
Now as far as Superman the entity goes. He is the All-American Hero just like he was designed to be in the beginning. He was designed along with Captain America to boost morale and nationalism and accomplished that task well. It made people think that there was hope somewhere out there and it kept their minds distracted a little so the government could do what it needed to do. Superman was designed to make a statement, and that is exactly what he has done.
