I am exactly the same way. Just because you're concerned with how you look, doesn't make you self centered. Have you ever been to an interview? When making first impressions, you want people to think that you are cultured and take pride in appearance. Do you think any of the guys/girls you see around campus wearing sweatpants and hoodies all the time are going to get a good job or make a good impression dressed the way they do. You're showing the you are mature and professional and that youd on't mess around. How are people suppose to take someone seriously when they're wearing baggy sweatpants and a t-shirt of Calvin screwing hobbs. haha

No, its does not make you self centered, its called self-pride. Self-centered is really more about how you treat other people. If you were ONLY worried about your own look or your own feelings, then yes, you would be self-centered.
So if we go with what Red said up there, we should all be sure not to wash our hair, wear deodorant or buy nice clothes, because we will rot in hell. Give me a break and learn the definition of pride. Proof that religion is bondage.

Why can't you other questions be worded like this? This shows that you may in fact be educated and people will be more inclined to answer you politley.
I don't think that taking pride in how you look and what you wear make you self centered. i think it shows that you respect yourself and you care what other people think of you when they see you. I make a great first impression when meeting someone for the first time.
Being sefl centered is an attitude and only caring about youself. There is no crime in looking nice, your will attract a much better class of people to associate with, and they will respect you more than if you look like trash.
Have a great day!

Taking pride in your appearance, and yourself is not a bad thing unless you take it over the edge. The problem with your statement is that you are making yourself sound like you have low self esteem by asking such a question. Honestly I think you are an "attention craver", don't feel bad...... there are lot's out there just like you.

No. But if your self esteem is high, why ask the question.
There must me a little low esteem there..
Also if you talk about their people because of how they look or dress then I would say your conceited.
There is nothing wrong about feeling good about yourself. If anyone is telling you that, do not listen to them.

I do not think it makes you self centered. Self pride is good unless carried too far- just as is anything.

As christianity is perceived that's hypocritical to evaluate one's self as a Pagan Priestess and Christian concurrently. yet, to each and each their very own. If christians easily practiced their ideals they does not be judging every physique the two because of the fact they ought to comprehend they are sinners of their faith's eyes. individually, i've got by no ability been attacked (bodily or verbally) for wearing my pentacle and that i've got worn it to many public places which contain my childrens' college. Its a count of their slender-mindedness and scarcity of training because of the fact the pentagram became extensively utilized as a logo for secure practices in early christianity lots as that's in Paganism immediately.
