i also air dry my clothes, i have found that instead of the expensive softeners like downy, i use calgon water softener in the rinse water. in a glass jar i put 1/4 teaspoon of the calgon in with 2 cups of boiling water to dissolve the crystals. then add it in the rinse cycle. plus they smell good. my towels come out soft and so do my clothes, but if the jeans are real stiff it should soften then over time.

Use lots of fabric softener when you wash, and then I recommend after drying them to wad them up some. This helps loosen them up again (as long as you don't mind wrinkly towels). If you are air drying, make sure it's not in a place the sun shines into, or you can also get some discoloration.

I used to air dry my clothes and I found the best way to get them soft is by using Downy. It may be a little expensive for Downy but well worth the softness and be sure to take them down shortly after they are dried the longer u leave them in the sun the harder they will get

Fabric softener. If too expensive then try the sheets for the dryer and throwing a couple of tennis balls for the stiffness.

I use Tide with a touch of Downy in clean breeze scent. I also use fabric softener in the rinse cycle. After the spin cycle, give them a good shake and then hang to dry.

Fabric softener added to the washer may help.

i notice the stiffness goes away as soon as the clothes are handled or put on. It's worth it because they smell better than machine dried clothes.

Maybe try using a little bit of downy fabric softner in them, it always gives them that nice-to-touch feeling. Also my mom says to put them in the sun and that helps...I've never had to do that so if it doesnt work...sorry, but hey...wouldnt hurt to give it a try would it? Shake them out really good too once you get them out of the wash...and best of luck dear!!

Lots of fabric softener in the wash, and/or that wrinkle releaser spray. It makes the fabric a little softer.

Or go to a laundromat and use a dryer.
