The phrase "making love" doesn't make any sense whatsoever. To realize this you have to ask yourself, "What's the difference between love and sex. I assume you already know. The problem with the phrase making love is that it conflicts with the real definition of love. When someone uses this phrase, automatically people think that love is sex. Besides love can't be made. It's already there. There's no need to add sex to the formula of love. Love is already perfect. That's why people, nowadays are confused in relationships because sex has become a huge part of a so called loving relationship. If for some reason sex doesn't meet someone's requirements, the relationship is already on the rocks. The main thing is that sex isn't love. It shouldn't be looked upon as an equal. Unfortunately it doesn't take much to have sex opposed to loving each other. Sex should never be a foundation to relationships. The difference between love and sex is this: Sex- this is just a brief act "out of love". Plain and simple as that. It's not perfect because sex is different for everyone. Love- this is a lot more meaningful because it's made perfect and if it's exercised correctly, it never ends. And it lasts longer. Love doesn't need sex. Besides, having sex should be a secondary result of love.

Sex is intercourse between two people purely for physical release, usually with no strings attached.

Making love with someone is the sharing of a common bond where you seek the other person's satisfaction more than your own and generally has a lot of strings attached- commitment, fidelity, and heart strings.

Yes, you can have sex with a complete stranger and not give a damn about them. But you can't just make love to someone. When you love someone having sex turns into making love.

Yes.

Having sex is purely physical, for recreation, or to reproduce. It can be fun, and can be good. But making love is when your feelings for the person - emotional, not physical- and their feelings for you are entertwined into the sex act.

Sex is having it just to have it. Because it feels good and you don't have to love anyone to do it.

Making love is with tenderness, love and feeling.

Hell, it's all the same really lol.
