I just want to have ideas of interesting and relevant topics to do research related with transportation and economics, especially airports - highways - cyberspace networks, etc... Also, I am interested in climate change impact on socioeconomic sectors such as transportation, housing, tourism, etc... All of these topics in a social science context.

Excellent to hear. Transportation sectors will have to see how far 'fuel cells' will be of use? Role of Bio-diesels. Queing theory for airports and highways. Minimising transmission losses of electric traction in Railways? Expected air travellers, rail users and highways and optimum mode of transport in each of these will address the socioeconomic sectors too.
