There are too many unidentified variables in this situation that makes giving advice difficult, therefore I am refering you to someone who you can provide you with real time communicative assistance.

I Hope you Have MS XP Pro OS system platform, as it will help immensely in their ability to help you.

Contact your ISP by phone and ask to speak to tech support. tell them your situation, and offer to have them connect to your system remotely as a user. You will need to change the security setting in XP to allow them to do this, so follow their instructions. Make sure you set them back once it is over so hackers can't take control of your system.

If this doesn't work, do the same thing with the tech support people employed by the operators of the FTP servers.

If it is still not fixed by this time, do the same thing again after contacting the tech support people at the place where you purchased the computer.

If it is still not fixed, the retailer you spoke to last should offer to refund or replace the hardware of the computer you purchased.

Good luck.
