The muzzel velocity varies, depending on the brand of ammo, length of barrel, etc.

You could use a typical muzzel velocity of 1200 feet per second though...thats 818 mph. I've seen manufacturers claim up to 1400 feet per second...954mph.

It depends on the type of round, a .22 short has a much lower muzzle velocity than say a .222.

2400 - 3000 feet per second for a center fire cartiridge, rim fire would be less....1200 - 1500 feet per second
