I don't think marijuana should be an alternative to alchohol, but I do think it should be legalized. In my opinion alcohol has already killed millions more people than marijuana will ever so I believe that alcohol should be the illegal substance. It is man made and makes EVERYONE on it an absolute a**, where marijuana just makes people chill out and relaxed. On top of it all I have never heard any evidence that would prove that alcohol can be used positively in the medical field, as where marijuana can be positively used for many different ailments: depression, cataracts, cancer, extreme pain diagnosis, and even Post Tramatic Stress Syndrome. Should there even be a debate as to which one is less harmful, but that is the government for you. They would rather people kill themselves by drinking so they can charge them high taxes on it and keep marijuana illegal to make money off of search and seizures.

It should be legal for everyone, like it is in Canada, in any place that is supposed to be 'democratic,' because that's what people want. In most places where it's legalized, use of it ultimately declines. The reason it's illegal here and now in the US is the same reason the cancer-curing drug Cancell is illegal here: it would mean less sales of currently available drugs and treatments which means less profits for the all-powerful drug/insurance companies and a lower Gross Domestic Product for the nation. It's always about the money, here.

The worst problem with marijuana is that it apparently Never leaves 'egg cells' in women, and since those are not produced throughout a woman's life they can eventaully build up THC levels to the point that it can cause birth defects.

No, of coarse not. Depite the far less use of marijuana in this country, vehicle crashes due to marijuana user are not that far from the number of crashes by alcoholics.

If you legalize marijuana, marijuana will be the new most common cause of automobile accidents.

I don't see a problem with marijuana. I have many friends who smoke it and they function normally in the world unless they are high! You should be allowed to use it as long as you wait a while before driving. No smoking and driving. Hell maybe if they made it legal less people would do it and they could tax it, creating more revenue for them. They would kill two birds with one stone.

Ya, why not. It is in Amsterdam and practicly is in Canada. You can get away with carrying up to like three joints on you with out going to jail. The cops would just confiscate it and tell you to go home. But if they thought you were trying to sell, then you would be roaly fu#cked. Sh*it in Windsor, Ontario, Canada the ladies have the right to walk around topless, thats also with out bra, just like guys can. the by-law was passed a few years ago. Marijuana is the best stuff on earth that is all natural. Its natural so why is it illegal.

Why just for the alcoholic? Why not for the workaholic, or the single mom? How about we just legalize it for EVERYONE :-)
