I miss him in Detroit. Hopefully with the salary cap increase, something can happen to get him back. Hopefully Lidstrom doesn't want too much $$. But then there is still the goalie issue. Personally, I think Osgood should be out, not Legace. Then again, I have never liked Osgood as a goalie. What good goalies with be free agents?

McCarty's contract with the Flames is up once it hits 12:00 am, on July 1st, as he becomes a UFA.
That is unless the Flames manage to resign him before then.
His former contract was a 1 year deal worth $800,000 with the Flames, signed in the 2005 off season.
