i found this website where we can help the less fortunate receive a gift during Christmas time. you pack a shoe box with goodies for the kids. click or cut and paste the following into your browser:

http://www.samaritanspurse.org/OCC_PackAShoeBox.asp

There are too many kids out there that needs help. If you cannot help, maybe you know someone who can. Please pass it on. No one is obligated to help, so please don't flood my inbox with reasons why you don't want to help or reasons why you may have negative feelings towards charity. this organization/website has no financial benefits for me, but i found it and thought it was a great way for a less fortunate kid to receive a gift at Christmas time.

I give, but I give locally. We have many kids/families in the U.S. who are doing without too. I give food, clothes and buy gas, food, car repair, and give Target, Walmart, and K-mart and restaurant gift cards to families. I donate a lot. I Buy a lot at CVS pharmacy when there are sales and donate that to a homeless shelter that has many kids in it. So I do my part, I even found a family that I adopted that I send those cards to every month. So I do give back and I believe that we should give back a little of what we have.

exactly, this is an excellent organization to give to. 100% goes to children. My wife & I have been volunteering help for this cause for 6 years, it is called Operation Christmas Child created by Samaritan's Purse. They do not ask for money so you dont have to worry about administration cost from your donation. But they sure can use as much help as possible during drives.
