They aren't - I consider myself an independent - not a republican or a democrat. I would vote for the person who I supported - not by party.

I don't think his supporters are separating themselves - maybe a few but that happens to every president. Everyone is starting to rev up for the upcoming election - yes, they start this early so maybe that is the feeling you're getting.

I believe the new prospects are distancing themselves from the war b/c it is a touchy subject - since he is so wrapped up in it - that is the best way to avoid the subject. In the end they will have to be with him or without him. What kind of person votes for it and then goes against it? or wait I know...John Kerry.

I'm sure Mr. president would thank you if he were here for admitting that he is such a good president(just kidding). politicians do whatever it takes to get votes. is this news to you? if distance from the president, while still staying close enough to the party to be allowed in gets votes, what do you think? do you think you will see any Dem's traveling with Cindy sheehan? most Dem's like abortion, but will they have rallies at clinics in support of it? nice try, but most of us have brains.

The North Carolina Republicans are not even stepping to get away. President Bush is a great asset to candidates. Sweeping statements are rarely true statements.

Bush is a brave and bold leader and sometimes brave, bold leaders make brave, bold chooses that girlie men cannot muster enough strength or intellect to support.
Just watch for it...as soon as the 2006 elections start kicking in REAL Americans will be voting for REAL republicans to replace these back stabbers. I swear upon it!

i comprehend that in a great number of states the Republican turnout became low. it really is major. Had they been keen to go back out and vote the election would have lengthy gone in yet in a unique way the margins were tight.. So, do I say that they were isolating themselves from Bush? NO, they were isolating themselves from the Republican Congress, that had no longer stayed real to conservative values. all of us knew Bush became fairly sensible, yet we predicted those in Congress to keep the republican criteria. they did not they deserved what they were given. notwithstanding, i'd have well known to work out those like Chafee, Olympia Snow, McCain, and the different individuals of the so said as gang of seven get the awl. yet, the democrats that were elected, in case you extremely sat and listened to them campaign, sounded extra like conservatives. The blue dogs Dems ought to stay conservative or their substances will deliver them packing. it is going to be extremely exciting..

I don't know of any who have but...in the same way Democrats ran from Clinton in 2000..Al Gore ran from Clinton too..Mr. Gore even said he wouldn't be like Clinton...he went on to say that He "AL Gore" was let down by President Clinton..and that he "Al Gore" was lied too by President Clinton.

It's very common after a 2nd term!
