LaMarcus Aldridge was sent to the Blazers for Tyrus Thomas and Victor Khryapa.
To the person who said this trade was totally pointless...it wasn't at all. Chicago wanted to get some lengthy forwards to add depth and defensive savvy and they did just that. This was great draft management on John Paxson's part.

Marcus aldridge was drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the second pick in the first round after Andreas Bargnani the seven footer from Italy. However the Bulls did not keep him for long. They traded him away for Tyrus Thomas and Vicktor Khryapa.
the Bulls did so because they wanted more depth and more rebounds by helping tyson Chandler out by getting a big, strong foward like Thomas.

thesmartgenius ur not smart because he was drafted second overall by the bulls then traded to the portland trailblazers who had the 4th pick and took tyrus thomas. tyrus thomas went to the bulls (plus some other cash and players) and lamarcus aldridge to the trailblazers. This was totally pointless because no trade needed to happen because the bobcats at #3 were already set on picking morrison so both teams would have ended up with the player they wanted with out the trade..

The Bulls drafted him, then dealt him to Portland for the player everyone thought they were going to get anyway, Tyrus Thomas from LSU.
Aldridge will now join the other 98 players Portland drafted yesterday in attempts to overhaul their image as Team Dysfunctional.

he was the number 2 pick and he went to the bulls
bulls dont really need him...so he got traded to the blazers
portland had 6 draft trades yesterday...
hopefully they get better nxt season
