Here's the deal: (This applies to some conservatives, specifically Neo-Cons.
Conservatives say they want less government, then why do they want to push an ammendment to make oppose gay marriage? What about laws making illegal to burn the flag? Aren't those just more laws restricting freedom? What about posting the 10 commandments in judicial buildings, when 7 out of the 10 are Holy Laws that would be unconstitutional under our system of government.

No more so than the liberal hypocrits like the Kennedy's who gave their moms residence as Florida when she died even though she lived in the Kennedy compoud on Cape Cod. You see, they didn't want to pay the taxes in Democratic stronghold peoples Republic of Taxachusetts. The Dems who claim to stand for the average guy, yet tax middle income Americans into oblivion. The Dems who were in full support of Clinton bombing Bagdad because Saddam had weapons of mass Destruction (something I also supported BTW) but now claim such weapons never existed.

Face it chuckles, neither the left, nor the right has cornered the market on lies and hypocrisy. If you think one party is more righteous than the other, I would have to question your means of measuring so fine a difference.

Those who live in Glass houses should not throw stones.

I am a liberal. Many conservatives are decent, well meaning people. They have different priorities than most of mine. We anger one another with our differences. We are all citizens.
Some are extreme. Some don't think others are full citizens, or full humans. Some get led by people with political agendas, who don't tell the truth.
Most want to raise families, help the community, and run businesses which make life possible for others.

If you think that burning our countries flag should be legal and you dont wanna abide by the 10 commandments, then take your scrawny butt over to Iraq and live. America is free because of people who have fought and died for that flag and its a disgrace when fags like you think you should have a right to burn it. That just shows your lack of respect for your country and yourself. Do us all a favor and move to Mexico or something. The sad thing is we probably pay your grocery bill and your healthcare bills.

The zealots are definately hypocrites. The anti-establishment clause means absolutely nothing to them.

Think about Roy Moore--he has (read: says he has) the utmost respect for our government, and yet he feels he can ignore SUPREME COURT ORDERS when they contradict his opinions.

Also, how does gay marriage affect the "sanctity" of their own marriages? In my opinion, abuse actually does threaten marriage, but many conservatives are opposed to programs to help those people. Anti-gay marriage bans are pure hatred.

I'm a Christian and I absolutely agree with u. Conservatives are hypocrites. What they want is to keep the good ole boy system established and all of the wealth and freedoms to themselves. They are only conservative to protect and insulate themselves from the "others" in society. And they hide behind the bible to support their racism and hate. Damn shame.

no conservatives sure as hell are not hypocrites, we just don't want America to turn into Amsterdam thats all, and its liberals who are the damn hypocrites, they say people should have the freedom to do and say what they want but if you say something they don't like they get all up in arms about it, God forbid we should have "under God" in the pledge of allegiance, and if you want it in the pledge of allegiance you'll get yelled at by every liberal within the mile

No more so than liberals who believe in free speech, unless of course you happen to disagree with them, in which case you should just shut the f**k up.

I believe there is at least one who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and then in a meeting with advisors:

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”
