Not enough pitching, hitting or fielding. But probably the worst is that a lot of times they just aren't playing good baseball. Awhile back there was a runner on their and the pitcher decided to try to pick him off..problem was no one told the 3rd baseman and the ball went into the stands. They are constantly missing curofff's and making poor baserunning decisions.

Man, all of the National League sucks! I'm a Giants fan myself, and although I love them, I recognize the fact that they aren't going to be great anytime soon, neither is anyone else in the entire National League. The Cubs don't have the greatest attendance, thus not as much money to buy great players, plus they lost Sosa. Hope it helps.

Simple:
They're best player has been injured most of the season so far. And Ramirez is not producing consistantly.
They're pitching consist of Zambrano and thats it. (Maddux is getting old)
And they have too many young and unexperienced players.
Solution:
They have to trade and get better hitters.
Get Wood and Prior Healthy for one year.
Dont blame it on Baker! Hes doing all that he can.
Put a Toni La Rusa in his shoes with the players that Dusty has and see how good he can be.
*******CHICAGO WILL ALWAYS BE A CUBS TOWN NO MATTER WHAT!!
*******THE CUBS HAVE ONE THE BEST ATTENDANCE IN ALL OF BASEBALL, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT madmaxi_008?

dusty will be gone after this season. he isnt the type of manager that gets u fired up, he wants to be ur friend and coddle u when u do something wrong, thats why the players dont care if they mess up or suck cuz theyre still getting paid millions of dollars. but he will be gone and the new manager will be named Lou Pinella.
we will get rid of wood and make a big go for barry zito and we will build around him and zam.
we will keep prior in a glass case so nothing bad can happen to him, with enough room to throw to someone. but he will have a year when hes healthy.
we could possibly trade jones to clear some space, but if not hes not that bad
we will or at least SERIOUSLYconsider making a hard run for carlos lee and sign him long term.
thats what we need to do to win

Turn on any White Sox game and you will see what baseball is supposed to be like, and you will never be able to look at another cubs game as long as you live.
You have my sympathy. To make it a little easier for you, just remember the cubs sucked yesterday, they suck today , and yes they will suck again tomorrow.

Hey brother, there is hope. I am a Detroit Tiger fan. Look how bad they have been for the last 13 years and they are now flying high. Stick with 'em, man, stick with 'em. And trade Mark Prior to us, too!

well, i'll tell it like it is. All good players have been injured and pitchers lose control of their pitches and Michael Barett loses control of himself and throws punches (not that A.J. Pierzinski didn't deserve it!) and Dusty Baker just sits there and picks his teeth. I hope i didn't say all the stuff that was TOO obvious.
