First, forget those two posts - they don't know what they're talking about.
A sex addict is someone who has a PATHOLOGICAL problem with having sex. Meaning it is interfering with work, home, and/or social activity in a very significant way. People who can't control themselves and have sex in public, have high-risk sex, who just can't stop themselves and want to. It's NOT THE AMOUNT, it's the circumstances and the consequences.

if you are truly addicted to anything, you do so in excess at the detriment of your health and relationships with others...it is a consuming need that you will fill regardless of the consequences...just wanting sex alot does not make you an addict...
