Hi, I'm playing Hendrix's star spangled banner for 4th of july and I'm having a hard time emulating his sound. I have a DigiTech rp100a effects processor, if you could tell me what effects he used or even better, a patch for the rp100a. any inspiration would be helpful. thanks.

I have a lot of fun using my RP300a processor. Ive come really close to getting the sound of hendrix. I know he used a Unicord Univibe pedal. Phaser. A Marshall 100 watt Super lead amp, and hall reverb. He adds a fuzzface for the solo.

Would it ruin the song if you didn't sound exactly like Hendrix? It may not be a bad thing if you don't sound like him.

Anyway, I hear a lot of reverb and tremolo in that song.

Dude, just buy a Boss Digital Delay/Reverb, turn the fuzz on your amp up just a pube hair and you'll be rocking in no time.

Why don't you play it so that it will sound good, instead? Hendrix fuckt up the Anthem, bad.

Distortion > roto-vibe > wah > echo (or delay)
