In some ways easier, in some harder. Coloratura simply means a style of singing characterized by a lot of embellishments, runs and trills. For a soprano in particular, it tends to run into the higher end of the vocal range, up into the "whistle" range (e.g. Mariah Carey) So at a younger age, even girls tend to be able to hit the higher notes; even women tend to get a bit deeper and more husky as they approach middle age, just from years of using the voice and the gradual changes in physiology over decades of living in the real world. However, unless you've already been taking voice lessons for several years, you may or may not have the technique necessary for true coloratura singing -- hey, it's not easy doing vocal gymnastics like that. I'd suggest getting a good voice teacher to help you stretch your vocal range and learn to control your voice at the upper end of your register -- that way, you can project and support your voice better on those high notes without squeaking like a toy mouse.

Your age actually is not the factor to answer this question. Have you had any professional training?
