I am not white, I am Hispanic. I know there are many white people who like rap. The reason some people hate rap is because some of the songs are pure filth for example: Candy Shop, Laffy Taffy, Get Low. Filth like that gives rap a bad reputation. Rap is not about who can say the filthiest s-h-i-t. I like my rap clean and full of meaning, like 2 pac and Grandmaster Flalsh.

Skin color wise I am REALLY white...but my favorite music is rap. I grew up in Denver around all shapes and colors, so I definately don't dance white either... Sometimes genetics are just skin deep! :) It is actually kind of funny, but I never really knew that I was different from ANYONE else until I moved away from the city into a much smaller town in highschool. They made SO much fun of my skin color and to this day I still hate to wear shorts! The population at this school was 70% hispanic/latino mixes and white kids...so you can imagine my shock when I was one of the whitest girls among the white and that made me a minority...hell, I didn't even understand that skin color meant anything!
Suppose I have learned my lesson, but it still irritates me when I look at someone of color and feel them put words into my mouth...I know I am no better than anyone else and no one is better than me damn it! Genetics aren't really something you can choose in life.
And believe you-me, I can dance to my favorite music like I was born into it!!

Isn't that a racist question. Why didn't you just ask if black people like fried chicken? It is stupied because people of every color like different types of music. You can not tell me that every black person likes rap. Personally, I think rap music sucks, but everyone has a right to listen to what they want.

Yes, just because it is mostly black people that perform the music doesn't mean that white people cant relate to it too. Tupac helped me through some dark times.
