It was Nixon in the Watergate scandal
Reagan in the Iran Contra scandal
Bush has out done them all as far as I can see.

Read more. President Nixon was involved in the
watergate scandal not Reagan who will go down\in History as one of the greatest presidents of all time, President Bush is using Reagans economic policies which are lower
taxes and smaller government, Always remember
that for every dollar the government "gives"
the people they take ten times that off you in taxes, PS president Bush has not committed
any crime He is unjustly lied about and smeared
by liberals such as Dean Kerry Kennedy etc.
If you don't believe me just listen to what they
are actually saying, They are not leaders thay are hate mongers,

You are thinking of Nixon regarding Watergate.

Wire tapping for the Nixon Administration was more or less for personal political gain. Wire tapping by the Bush administration (whether one agrees it is right or wrong) was motivated by national security and the desire to not see a repeat of 9-11.

a I don't think Bush is copying anybody in anything. You probably heard about Islamic creeps bombing New York and Washington. Thousands of lives and billions of dollars worth of damage was done. Bush is doing what he thinks is necessary to prevent that from happening again.
The Muslims make no secret about their intentions to do it again and again, and they're trying to find a way around our defenses. That's exactly what Bush is trying to prevent. He not only has the Muslims against him, but half of the American population.
Those, like you, who are forever trying to block everything he's doing will be the ones screaming the loudest if the creeps do manage to do more harm to us. Would you rather have someone be given the right to tap your phone, or be blown to bits because too many were against giving the president the right to listen in on the creep's plans ?

OMG! Read some history. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Watergate was during the Nixon administration and it had nothing to do with wire tapping.

Another liberal opens their mouth and removes all doubt.

Nixon, the man who ended the Viet Nam war and opened China, also tried to cover up a burglary. But guess what, he didn't loose his law license for perjury and obstruction of justice in a Grand Jury proceeding. An offense I would still be in jail for. But alas I wouldn't join the Democrats any faster than I would the terrorists.

By the way, check out Lincolns atrocities (something about habeas corpus) as well as FDR internment camps for US citizens. And look at legislation from WWI paying special attention to freedom of speech.

First of all Reagan had nothing to do with Watergate.that was Richard Nixon. Second, George Bush is dealing with a whole new set of circumstances. Right, wrong, or indifferent; your guess is as good as mine. Only a guess.

No, sadly im fearing we are entering into a temporary police state with the usual check and balances being waved aside by ignorant fear and political control.

It was Nixon, not Reagan who got in trouble for this. You might want to check your facts and be more informed before you write about this stuff.

And the American people had no clue that Bush was doing it
